The days went suddenly very quickly! After Halloween was started a very social month:-) Surprise party for colleague Atle (although Atle figured surprise the day before), playdates with Nora's friends, meet with Jager wives, 3 Celebration of one of Nora's friends and finally we were able to say welcome to our Homes for John & Keith! So nice to see "their" house in our costume! They came with goodies from Norway, with Norwegian delicious chocolate, marzipan, brown cheese and even julebrus! nut chips We had asked some of the neighbors too so John & Keith got greeted more, and it was a very pleasant afternoon / evening. Welcome back:-)
Then my mom to visit, very nice to show off houses / local area and how our lives are. We adults were reasonable a cold (sinus infection, it turned out later), nut chips so it was much innekos and some shopping. Nora was showcased everything she wanted, a little play out, it was, but sightseeing we will next time when there is some warmer weather:-) We got at least filled up her suitcase with some Christmas gifts!
After a couple of common every day we took the bus to New York! The trip takes about 4.5 hours and costs about $ 50 per person r / t. Perfectly decent ride, full bus and a bit boring after a while for big and small, but much cheaper than the train.
The reason for NY trip was to meet Kirsti and Anne (colleagues of mine in the military), and it was very nice to get going on a bit again! We did a dinner on Friday, and walk across the Brooklyn Bridge on Sunday followed by hot drinks at Starbucks! It was a cold weekend in NY, it snowed Saturday night and the wind in NY makes the most freezing.
We got us Lion King at the theater, nut chips very good and Nora sat spellbound (at least for a while!). In addition, we had dinner with a couple of friends who live near us in DC, and Nora attend kindergarten with dems August. So nice for young and old! Halloween finished and the squirrel enjoying the leftovers:-)
